Since ds just started adderall XR the Friday after Thanksgiving, we decided not to give any breaks for the first month. However, Sundays seem to be so tough -- he behaves in church but his attitude stinks. For instance, yesterday, he got mad and pouted most of the service because we didn't sit where he wanted to and Mass was starting so I didn't want to get up and move. (I misunderstood where he said he wanted to sit because normally I don't fight over this.) Anytime he doesn't get his way, it's a major breakdown. Maybe I just notice it more on Sunday but even Saturdays don't seem to be as bad. Weekdays after school, on average, aren't like this. It's not all day or anything and we're trying to keep him on the same schedule as during the week since that seems to help. Also, one Sat. he got his medication late and getting him to stay in his room and quiet was way worse than normal. (This doesn't mean that I won't give it to him late on special occasions but I'll be ready for the late night! ) I can't wait for med breaks so he can sleep late! Sorry to ramble but sometimes it's hard for me to be concise, especially when I feel frustrated. Has anyone else noticed how hard it is to be concise when frustrated? ;D

I think sundays may stick out more to you, because you are in a position where it is expected to have good behavior... Also embarrasing when it isnt best behavior...
We did the weekend meds break for a while, although sundays for church and sunday school I did give her meds (we just didnt always send her)... She needs to behave for other people, at home she can run around but of course that is inappropriate for church settings...
One of the reasons we give the meds is for other peoples benefit really... Well sd8 does benefit also, but when she is with us only, there is not a whole lot she can do wrong... We allow rambunctious behavior (tires her out heck we promote it!!! LOL), but alot of people think this is unacceptable... And of course in school it put a serious detriment on her education if she cant focus, and sit still...
Good luck
