Ok...if ADHD is related to lack of norepinephrine and dopamine (and i also see some articles on serotonin) why are we not taking the receptors for all 3? Is anyone??? I have a doctor appt. next wed...any input would be great... i've got a bunch of threads going! mary

Mary, From what I have read, the norepinephrine and dopamine are two different transmitters that function a bit differently. I read a great explanation about the relationship of the neurotransmitters and ADHD, but cannot remember where I found it. When I run across it, I'll pass it along. My son definitely has dopamine issues. Addressing the norepinephrine with Stratterra was ineffective. I'm been diving into the brain research and am quite intrigued. Daniel Amen's book, Healing ADD is incredible and a must read!!!
