Has anyone tried this? with meds? without? I'm on 60mg of strattera (up from 40mg about 2 weeks ago)... my doctor took me off lexapro when i was diagnosed? seems like the mix would have been good to address all the neurotransmittors... anyone taking wellbutrin with strattera or SSRIs?

I don't think there is any reason you shouldn't take Becalmd along with meds - in fact the advertisers seem to say this is what you should do for a short while before " Dropping the meds" .... but be careful! We tried Becalm'd and in my personal opinion it was a huge waste of money - absolutely no use whatsoever! .... Also from reading things that others (who know far more about natural alternatives than I do) on Becalm'd it really is no more than a vitamin pill and many of the ingredients are nowhere NEAR the RDA ... i.e. its also a very WEAK vitamin pill... although I understand all the ingredients separately are fine in themselves... but I think (and so do many others that I have read comments on) that this is a commercial scam.... full stop!
HOWEVER, you might want to post this under Natural Alternatives and get some feedback there on Becalm'd....
LOTS OF GOOD LUCK!!

Please, before starting ANY over the counter meds or suppliments, get the OK from your Dr. He/she really needs to know everything you are taking to effectivly manage your care. also they would be the one who would know if there was a reason you should'nt do this on a continuing bases. Most doctors that I know, while maybe not agreeing with natural suppliments, will allow you to take them if they are safe for you and your situation. Good luck and let us know what happens. Sue

I know becalm'd is safe with stimulants when my son was put on lexepro the dr. said he should stop taking becalm'd because the 5-htp in becalm'd works to increase seritonum levels, same as lexlepro. I gave my son becalm'd and concerta for a few months and it was fine.

To answer your last question, my daughter was on Wellbutrin and Paxil for about 8 months. (She is on Paxil continuously for mild OCD.) The Wellbutrin helped her impulsivity quite a bit, but then wore off (as every other ADHD med has!) and we stopped it. It didn't seem to interact with the Paxil or vice versa.
