My five year old is on Adderrall XR 10 mg. I have some questions. Do you think it is time for a med change when:
he whines constantly? is bored all the time on weekends? tries to get out of eating? is sometimes spacing in school? his work got better and then it is now worse again?
I know that's a long list but these are some of the things we're experiencing.

singnmommy, I would definately talk to his ped about it.
Brooke has had problems like that as well. The meds would work for a while and then lose effectiveness. Often all that was needed was an increase in dosage, but sometimes we needed to go to an entirely new med.
Good luck and keep us posted on your results.

We switched Katie from Ritalin to Concerta when the Ritalin was wearing off in less than two hours, and her teacher practically had to scrape her off the ceiling!
I would say a med change would be something to look at if you aren't getting the results you were before. Good Luck! Let us know how it's going.
