I *think* from my experience, the reason the child is so argumentative the first hour or so is that the med hasnt kicked in yet?? Just my observation from my situation... Good luck

I thought about that too. The only thing that worried me though is that he seems to be more argumentative and violent for that first hour or so. He has this crazy look in his eyes which he doesn't normally have. Kinda weird.

If your child is not having serious side effects give it a week until you make observations....it could just be that day...  |

My 6 yo gets that way when the Adderall's wearing off, but not when he first takes it. He did, however, scare the bejeezers out of me the first time he took it--looking and acting completely spaced. Never happened again after day one. If it's only the second day, you probably want to give it a few days more and see what happens.
