I've been on Tenex (guanfacine) for a little over a week now to help me sleep and supposedly lessen impulsivity.
I've been having side effects pretty much since I started taking it. Mainly headaches, achy muscles, dizziness, and being out of breath.
I called the doctor last week around Wednesday. He said the side effects normally go away within a few days of when you start taking it.
My head hurts so bad today that I'm skipping class. For me to do that because of just a headache is nearly unheard of. The last time I did that was my first year in college (this is my fourth) when we had lovely black mold that we didn't think could possibly be seriously toxic growing in our San Antonio dorm room. I'm in Lubbock now, so I don't think that's the problem.
I called them and left a message saying that if the side effects go on for many more days, I'm stopping taking it and that I'm skipping class today because my head hurts so much.
