We decided to try Dexetrine to replace the Concerta my now 11yro son was taking. Our goal is to get the postive results he had with Stratterra without the side affects. So I asked his teacher for an update re his behavior and schoolwork. The teacher listed a two week period that were Mr.M's best all year. I checked my calendar--the first week he was still on Concerta, the second he was on the Dexetrine!! His dr. and I had to laugh! We decided to up the Dexetrine from 20mg to 30mg and will see how it goes. Has anyone had any experience with Dexetrine? Thanks, Chris

yes, my son has been on dexedrine for two years, and it doing the best he has ever done on meds. He has been on every medicine out there it seems, and this one has had the least side effects by far. Prior to dexedrine he was having tics really bad, and now that he is on dexedrine the have all disappeared. This last year he has started gaining weight. His appetite is back, and does not have to take meds. at night anymore to fall asleep. So, hopefully you will have as much luck with it as we have had. Good luck!!
