I was also wondering if the Adderall XR can wear off? Honey is on 5mg and takes it at about 6:30 on school days. The teachers say he is great in the morning, but consistantly has trouble following directions after lunch. Since it is time release I didn't know if not eating real well in the mornings would effect it differently. I am really starting to like the Adderall XR and I don't notice the same afternoon lapse as the school, but I am also working with him one on one and at school he is in a group setting. Any suggestions?...Thanks...Becky

I am the mother who tried the med (was told I may have ADHD but I am just fine and do not buy it). Regardless I noticed XR releases at odd times so the med can wear off by afternoon and for two hours it is out then releases and it hits you again, the ups and downs were awful. Perhaps it is releasing later...everyone's metababalism is different and reacts differently.
