We had parent teacher conferences for Honey today. He is just about 5 and is very speech delayed. He still has not made it past that 2 yo 9 month speech level. I think the teacher said it perfectly. She said, get as mad as you can and then put a piece of tape over your mouth. All you can do is scream, cry. hit and so on.

My 2 1/2 yo is pretty much past the tantrums, but Honey is still going strong. Kids can be so weird! ::)

Wow!! I found this particularly interesting because my son sways way more towards add (no odd) than adhd ... do you know what it was specifically that struck people more in your add son than your adhd/odd son??

For my 2 cents:
I personally don't like the word normal. Nothing is normal. All of everybody that I have come across in some way, shape, or form has touch my life in a way it hasn't been touched by others AND in ways is won't touch others lives.

When things become complacent and routine is when things appear to be "normal". Why? Because everyone excepts it that way and when someone comes along and doesn't agree, they are NOT normal? I don't think so.

I know there is no one answer for things. You could tell me till you were blue in the face, but I will see things from another point of view also.

As long as you differenciate between an inappropriate behavior and a child, every child is created with love, it's the seeds that we sew and the unique characteristics that shape the child to develop their personal bests.

OK, So I'm not a help, sorry. Just got on a roll.
I don't like normal, God help me if I were ever in a Jury ;D
