Counting to ten:
God makes no mistakes !!!!
This world is a much better place because he was born. Your son is a wonderful asset to this world and one day, someone somewhere will have a much better life because he was born and raised by you.

OK, I am having a mean streak going here....you said that that family had some ......um...oddities. Tempting to look at her and ask her <if she didn't have kids>
"Gee, I now understand why YOU didn't have kids, thank you for practising what you preach!"
And if she DID have kids:
"Gee, with that opinion, why didn't you adopt?"
But, I am being a b**** today anyway :-D. You know something? I have been thinking about the whole ADHD thing <imagine that> and wondering something....could it be that this is the next step for our brains? I mean, the whole technology jump kinda demands that someone be able to comprehend quickly and be able to move from topic to topic quickly. It seems that ADHD is almost a coping skill for the next level our society is going to. ADHD comes with above average intelligence usually <my opinion here> so I guess that would make those less suited to comprehension jealous. I'm sorry, that one just had to come out. I know how you feel, I thought I was doing my kids a favor by being open about the ADHD/bi-polar/ODD/CD thing. It turns out more people are in the mental health Middle Ages than we would like to believe. From now on, I am keeping my bog mouth shut and letting people deal with whatever behaviors they encounter. I came across too many people who just don't understand. In our house though, it is a running joke. We have a verb : to "ADD" something - to forget or space something completely. "Butterfly moment"- to become highly distracted and follow the "butterfly"<TV, radio, another pile of clothes, dust particles, etc.....>. I think humor is a helpful take on people like her and our daily trials and tribulations <she fits in that catagory too, hmmm>.
Ok, I am off and going to try to be nice.....normally I am not so venomous.....guess home improvement projects rot the brain!!

What an unhappy, and hateful person... I don't think I could have been restrained. Unfortunately there are so many ignorant people in the world... However, for some reason are on earth with us, I guess to make us stronger. Sometimes I think, they are here to remind us to stay strong and never back down...EVER!!! I am sorry you had to hear this, however grateful your child did not..... Have a more peaceful day, Christina
