And I left out a husband and his "honey do lists for me", like I dont have enough to do during the day. Up here the school will take the kindergarteners to school, but you have to bring them home . So any appointments have to be done by 2pm so I can pick him up, plus the 4 year old gets out of special ed preschool at 11:30, and someone has to be physically seen before the bus will open the door. I actually get a slight break next week. There is a Hemophilia Convention in Utah on the 6th-9th. So I get to fly off and bring the 5 yr old with me for classes and info stuff . Lets see how DAD handles my job while I'm gone . I sure hate to see the house when I come home. I think he better call Merry Maids , or momma wont be happy to come home to a filthy house.

I think you deserve Merry Maids full time! If your hubbys is like mine, you will probably hear, "Well I tried to get it done, but the kids were awful!" He has yet to figure out that is our kids! No worse for him than they are for me. Have fun at the conference, maybe you should take a stop off for a vacation for something!!

I just got back from California with all the kids, plus my 6 yr old neice and my sister. We made it out of California just as the fires started in LA. . We could see the flames shooting over the HOLLYWOOD sign on the hills. IT was nasty, the smoke and smog was horrible . We took all the kids from the 10th till the 21st all over California, from San Diego doing Sea World , Legoland , the Zoo , then to San Francisco and all over there .. We ended our trip in L.A doing Disneyland , California Adventure and all the touristy things ;D . So we had 5 kids, and 3 adults to supervise the "herd" and help out with homework and nightly battles for meds . I literally had a suitcase with meds alone .. It was fun.. we need a vacation from our vacation for the adults though..

hats off to all of us is right! no matter how many kids are involved, when one or more has special needs of any kind, it's so much more difficult than the average kid. and all kids are a hand ful. i agree with douglas that raising boys and girls are different as are all the various ages and degrees of adhd plus additional disorders. i have two teenagers and work two part time jobs, together a little less than 40 hrs. all of this is another great reason for these boards. makes us all remember how hard our jobs are and how great a job we do. karen

Wow Blue oreo; I have to say you have me beat and I thought I was doing great. I have 4 kids, not including the husband, ranging from 8yrs., 7yrs. 5yrs. and 2yrs. the Oldest is ADHD,OCD, ODD, and has anxiety. the 7yr. old is mild ADD, the 5yr.old is mild ADHD and OCD, and the Daughter( daddy's Baby) well, I am not sure spoiled is helpful right about now, seeing as the Docs think Eric(8yrs.old) could be Pre Bipolar( Whatever that means). Even with all that my prayers are with you and you have to be a saint, just have to be. Have a peaceful day, Christina:)

My husband always jokes (affectionately) that he doubles my salary every year. Guess he's been watching Dr. Phil and is trying to keep up.

I have 2 kids, one boy, one girl, and another on the way (WHAT was I THINKING? ) I also work full-time as a professional writer outside the home, working on scientific documents with tight deadlines. DH works full-time and has ADD and Tourette's syndrome. DS has both, too. How many jobs does that equal? But, I'm not complaining....;D Kris

ok so... someone help me figure this one out. I work full time, go to school part time (two classes), have two kids, and two step kids. And somewheere in there you have to factor in that two of those kids and the husband are ADD/ADHD.
No wonder I feel like I need two more of me!
