Definitely! .... If anything at all makes anybody feel uncomfortable please as Barry says send one of the mods a private message. The purpose of this board is for empathy and support.

I am also here for all you wonderful parents. It is tough being a parent ,especially to our ADHD kids.
As my mom used to say.."It is much easier to get along than it is to fight".

i sure do agree with you guys. i know "back in the day" when i was searching, looking, praying, stressed and so unsure, the forum board offered me helpful, nonjudgmental, and supportive information. i've visited boards where newcomers are made to feel stupid or worse yet, like a failure and bad parent.
there are millions of people just starting the journey, and since i remember those days, i will do everything in my power to make sure they are welcomed and taken care of like i was (and am).
you can reach a mod by clicking on there name and sending a message (private).

One of the things I love about this board is the acceptance that is offered here, and lack of judgement for choosing different ways to treat ADHD. I've been sending LOTS of people this way who are just starting out and have questions.

Hi you all! I haven´t have any problem´s with post, my biggest concern is this: I hope I haven´t affendent anyone´s feeling´s   . I know we have a different cultural background, so there can be some missunderstanding´s that are not meant to be affending. I´am most greatfull for you all mod´s to keep it clear and supporting invironment for all of us. Keep up the good work!! Thank you! Marja |

Marja Hi Marja - I can completely assure you that you haven't offended anybody! ... and the same goes for 99.9% of all our members - but we just want to make sure that on those occasions when something is said that is hurtful or worrying that it is 'nipped in the bud'.... Having said all that we are extremely lucky on this board compared to other boards ... and posts like that are a rare occurrence here! .... HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! |

Ya'll are doing a fine job and this forum rocks. I've been to some of the other forums. Too much one size fits all for my taste. The desire that folks here show to help others, no matter what treatment path they may take is a gift.
It's a gift I'll never take for granted.
I know I can get testy sometimes. Just slap me when I get out of line.

There is little danger of overstating the importance of this. ADHD individuals face a lifetime of misunderstanding, unfair labeling, and misplaced contempt in addition to our internal struggles.
Why come to a place looking for support, only to be made uncomfortable? The Moderators are here to ensure a safe environment. If ANYTHING posted here makes you uncomfortable or feels like an attack, use the private messaging feature to let us know!!!
