Since everyone (I think) is in the Christmas mood, I thought it would be fun to share our cute and humorus Christmas stories. I'll start.
When my DH and I got married he had never been shown a spritual life of any kind. His family is Athiests. It bothered him that he had never been Baptised or received any of the Sacraments as I did as a child. The day before Easter he was Baptised, made his First Communion, and was Confirmed all in one service. It was really cool and meant very much to him.
As a result he wanted to have a very religious Christmas. So one night he picked up his little brother, who was only 8 at the time, and took him to our house. They were going to put out the decorations while I was at work. So DH is telling him why there is an Angel on the tree, and the stars, and he is telling him the Christmas Story and he is feeling pretty good about himself. When I get home from work my little BIL is very proud of all the new things he had learned and came to tell me how much fun it was to put on the the "Activity Scene." I said "Oh, you mean the Nativity Scene." He just said OK and went on his way. That night my DH was telling me all about their night and I could tell he was really proud of everything he showed his little brother. The he says, "Jesse just loved that Activity Scene." I just laughed, I didn't have the heart to tell him is was called a Nativity Scene for three days! We still joke about it once in a while.
