Dear Marja, Please, please do not feel so bad about trying the medication to help your precious child. I know that you have been really scared. I was, too. You are not doing this alone, you are doing it under a doctor's supervision. Your doctor will guide you as to what check ups or lab work need to be done to ensure that your son is tolerating the medication well. You are on top of things and you are informed and educated. Please do not beat yourself up. I know enough from reading your posts that you are a very loving mother and you want your child to have a better life. Please don't let others scare you. No, it is not an easy decision to make, but it can make a huge difference in your dear son's quality of life. I've been there, I am there and I understand. Go easy on yourself. (((((Marja))))))))

Marja, Sorry, I am butting in too. I also thought long and hard about using meds and am glad I did! I am not a bad mom and neither are you. You have had to make a difficult decision and no one has the right to question that or to judge you. It is good to get info BUT it needs to be unbiased and nonjudgemental. I am afraid I am seeing good intentions on some of the threads with unintentional (?) disapproving undertones. Please follow your heart and head on what is best for your child. Hugs, Sue

To Finnmom
I am not certain which thread or responses being mentioned here. I guess I missed something. If it is the thread you started under medication, I thought everyone was very supportive and I apologize if my responses were seen as scaring you. I don't think anyone was trying to caution you against meds, but just telling you their experiences (past and present). I think this, hopefully, was to support you and to help lesson your worry if there were any side effects.
I agree that making the decision to use meds usually is a last measure for parents and definitely not one we would make if our little ones happiness were not on the line.

Today was the first day I gave him his med´s, I dont know how to think about it yet, but I hope it´ll help. You have so much good information and support that I´ve only taken the good one´s ;D We will go by this path and see how it goes! THANK YOU, YOU ARE THE BEST Marja
