My ds's IEP is for "Content Mastery". Do any of your children have this? What does it mean exactly? He has no "learning disability", but qualified under "Other Health Impaired".

Jared didn't qualify under IEP they said because his IQ was too high? He qualified under 504. Some places do things different I suppose.

Content Mastery is probably delivered in different ways in different schools. It means that a person or persons will assist in the learning of one or more subjects to answer more questions than would be done by the teacher teaching the whole class. It might be an extra teacher that will sit in the class and work one-on-one or a place for tutoring. It all comes down to what the need is for success, content mastery, and what is needed to assist your child. Mastery means passing and content means what is being taught. I would ask the people at the school how the assistance will be delivered. Your child should know if extra teachers come to the classes to work with individuals during the time the regular teacher is teaching.
