Not that I'm complaining, but we haven't actually had homework yet. Probably due to the fact they have yet to receive their text books. but oh, can I empathize with the endless forms they send for parents to read, complete, and sign. As far as the question about homework, I think where ADHD is concerned, both kids and parents hate it equally! For me, I know it means I will have to "supervise" her doing it, and it many cases help her, so my time is cut into as well, which cuts into my time for my own "home" work, i.e. laundry, cooking, etc.

We go back to school on Monday. The kids have been ready to go back since school ended in May. DS wants to play football again, and DD cant wait to be in Jr high. We were lucky on school supplies. DH was given a box of notebooks and notebook paper from a delivery he made to walmart, so we have not bought a notebook in 2 years. I went to Sams Club last year for pencils and pens and still have loads left. All I needed was folders and markers and I am done. DD starts gymnastics tonight, and Dance in 3 weeks, then I am back to my hectic schoolyear lifestyle again. At least this year I dont have to worry about girlscout meetings. I changed her to an individual girlscout, so we will work on badges and things when we get a chance to instead of waiting for the leader to figure out what she is doing. We never even got what she earned last year and I finally gave up and ordered it and paid for it myself. DS has his 3 year re-evaluation in September for his ADHD and LD testing. I am hoping they find out he has a writing disability, so we can get him some extra help. I just sent back the forms I needed to fill out.
