Just to make you all feel better, my son's tuition, room and board and fees at a fairly prestigious private university total over $40,000 per year, and, as an upper middle class family, the only financial aid we get are very limited low interest loans. For that princely sum, my son can't get into any classes he wants because the school is so overcrowded, and his classes have literally hundreds of students, with graduate students instead of professors doing all the grading. I'd feel a lot better about the financial burden if I felt we were getting our money's worth! We were sold a bill of goods by this school, so I caution you all to dig deep when you research colleges and don't believe the Admissions Office hype!

Geewiznet- Can't your son transfer out of that school? Our daughter attends a private school-$27,000 per year. Teacher to student ratio 11:1. (all professors) Guarantee graduation in field in four years.
If I was you, I would see if I could get my son out of that school more quickly than he got in!!!
Curious, what school is it and what year is your son in?
