I don't know about the phone yet, Tara has just started to call a friend a few times a week. No more than 10 minutes, and they aren't allowed to take the phone to their rooms-----I can't find socks, let alone a phone in teh room.
But I laughed, my husband and I used to just sit and watch TV together, before we were even dating!!!!! Anyone remember Gorgous Ladies Of Wrestling? GLOW-we would sit for hours and just watch it. OMG thinking about it is too funny.
I personally don't have one or want one, Hubby on the other hand has on eof those trak phones that you have to buy minutes for.....Which I think would be could for a teen, that way you don't have some huge bill coming in at the end of the month.....
Oh well, technology doesn't let you hide anymore Kaiti

I decided I would limit her calls to ten minutes and continue monitering without her knowing. Maybe when she is older I will let her have more phone time. Becky, your post made me think of a call I placed to a friend one time (long distance no less). Her daughter answered and the convo went kind of like this: G-Hello M-Hi! Is your mommy there? G-Yes M-Can I speak to her? G-No M-Is mommy busy? G-No M-What's mommy doing? G-I don't know M-Can I talk to mommy now? G-No This went on for several minutes and I finally just hung up. Waited ten minutes and called back. Finally got to talk to her. It was kind of funny though! ;D

Oh, you just gave me an idea. The next time I get one of those phone salesmen I don't want to talk to .... you know the ones that keep calling back and won't quit? I think I'll let the kids talk to them.

Linda, That's a good idea too! Have you ever gotten the phone calls that are just recordings talking to you? I guess they get too discouraged by people hanging up on them. Now we have to deal with machines. The problem is you can't tell it's a recorded voice on the other end at first. Don't know what to do about that.

The first few I got I started to say that I wasn't interested. Usually I give them a chance to get off the phone with me before I hang up on them. Anyhow, I started my hang-up routine, and couldn't figure out why this "person" was so rude. Then I figured out that I was asking to be put on the do not call list of a machine!!
