Poem for my sd I would like to share

Well I was feeling particularly creative, or possibly bored today at work .... SHHHHH dont tell ok?? Anyhow, in the spirit of it, I made a poem that I am putting on a background for my sd as I type... I wanted to share it with all of you, kinda get some feed back if you so desire.... Here it is...



My love will never stop for you

I met you when you were two
From that moment our love grew
You were such a cutie
Though some days a pain in the patootie
My love will never stop for you

Through the years I have watched you grow
My love for you, you may never know
The joy you bring
Makes my heart sing
My love will never stop for you

You fill my heart every day
As I watch you try and find your way
I will always be here for you
That much is so very true
My love will never stop for you

Your dad brought you into my life
The day he made me his wife
Since that day I have felt whole
Some day I hope you know
My love will never stop for you


Though you have none of my genes
In our reality what does that mean
All it means is you came as a package deal
It does not make our love any less real
My love will never stop for you

Please know you make my life complete
Even when my heart stops its beat
I will watch over you from the sky
My love for you will never die
My love will never stop for you

Through your father and brother
We are tied forever together
I love you girl I really do
Not because I have to
Because….
My love will never stop for you

I certainly wouldnt call myself a poet though... Just having fun! Made a cool background, and sd and I are going to do some scrap booking this weekend, will probably put it near the front~

that is a really sweet poem. when sd is an adult she will really treasure it even more than now. isnt that when we all appreciate and realize what our parents went through with us?!!

annie, i LOVE your idea of telling someone in england, so sweetly, that they are "such a patootie!!!!!" ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D it will sound like a nice thing to say, but you will know what you are REALLY saying!!!!!! heheheh--love it!!!!
