Do you remember me telling you about Jacob and the bullies this summer? That is when Paul came to his brother's rescue It has NOT stopped!! The bully and his brother are beating J down after school. Yesterday one of the brothers took J's WATCH and threw it over a fence! I called the mom and of course the mom denied her little darlings did ANYTHING > I will be seeing these 2 kids at school in about half an hour...and I am sooo mad I can't see straight... I am frustrated and don't know what else to do at this point!!! If I make a big deal out of this ...I know J is going to get it worse!!

Linda! What a tough situation! I think I'm with Marja though..if you didn't get anywhere with the mom, then you gotta take it into your own hands. I'd say something to those boys to scare the pants off them! I can so understand how you must feel because I am so mad after reading this I don't know how to respond....I can't think of a calm, wise way to help you with this.

Linda, do you by any chance have a liaison officer in J school? If you do I bet you could talk to him and have him have a little chat with the boys doing the bullying. I know in our school district the kids love our officer and when they have to be talked to by him it makes them straighten up. If you don't have an officer in J building find out if you have one in your school district and still have a chat with him~~~even if they are not in one building they are still being paid by the school district and he would have to address the issue if brought to his attention. to both you and J that you make it thru the day.

:-*Oh Linda, don't ya hate that crap I'd be talking to the boys myself. Mikey was picked on last year by 5th graders. They would walk by him adn smack him so none of the lunch ladies saw or whispered so they couldn't hear....and Mikey would get introuble for retaliation...... I finally got enough info that i told the boys if they didn't stop, I'd skipteachers and the school all together and call home......hmmmmm. seemed to stop. Then again on of the boys dad's was State Trooper, so he wasn't going to get into trouble...... But that doesn't help because you already talked to the mom. How about you tell them that you have already spoke to her, and if they keep it up, you'll go to her again, WITH J

I talked to both boys today and there is no scaring these 2!!!! I told them I had there phone number and I knew where they lived!!!! They just shrugged there shoulders and denied everything!! I had about 20 kids at my house yesterday(pays to work at a school) telling me how bad these kids are! They steal bikes and mom says the bikes are theirs!! Usually J defends himself but the 2 brothers stick together like glue!!! Guess I could talk to them again and tell them what I am going to do to them if they don't stop and then deny it if they tell.

Linda, how 'bout talking to them again to let them know if they bother Jacob again you will go to the police and you have 20 witnesses that will back you up? Bet that'll get their attention! They probably don't want cops snooping around their house if they have stolen bikes there.

Oh Linda UGHHH!! What a vicious circle this is ... and ESPECIALLY when you have two rogues who are not even intimidated when an adult comes on strong with them!! Christy has a good suggestion BUT I wonder if this will intimidate them at all!! ... I am not sure if its the same in the US but here the police have to have a "search warrant" to be able to enter and search any property ... and it sounds like these two would KNOW this and KNOW they were pretty safe from a police search!! ... What about the school itself? Are you getting any support from there? As I have said before this WORKED on the two times Sam was bullied over the years ... but we did have completely 100% support from the school ... and I think that is essential if this is to make any difference!!

Police have to have a search warrent, but they can still be intimidating. The kids around here dont mess with my kids much because they all know I say I will call the cops and I have followed up on doing just that. Other yards have bikes that disappear, but not mine.

I will tell them just that!!! I also think it will not make much difference but I will try I t is just so frustrating....not hard to figure out where these 2 boys will end up The school has talked to the boys before but I am going to do some detective work on these 2 tomorrow. You would be surprised at how teachers talk ;D ;D

If someone sees them take a bike that is not theirs or sees them with one that has been reported stolen, that should be enough for the police to get a search warrant, shouldn't it?

I would think so, but are the others going to admit they saw the boys on teh bikes? In a few towns, they have a bike registration, so that in case a bike is stolen it can be returned or id'ed.......at least that is what is touted as
