Mine just figures he can throw anything on the floor that he doesnt want anymore. This includes clothes, trash, and toys. I've told him that he still has to clean up the trash. He never seems to notice when things disappear so I figure he has too much stuff.

Oh yeaaaa, I'm not the only meanie We over hauled Mikey adn Tara's rooms last week.....and they are still decent I think it might snow tomorrow ;D ;D ;D My Mom-mom used ot throuigh my dad's stuff out the window when he was at school and he'd come home with it in the back yard. She would tell him if he wanted it that bad, he's going to take care of it. ;D ;D I do the trash bag thing, and yup, the most precious toys get put away first.

I recently found toys in the attic (I havent been up there in two years) that I had taken away from the boys over a messy room....forgot all about them. Since then nothing has changed except that I accept that it will take him atleast two weeks to clean his room each time and I choose my battles these days. ;D ;D

Amazingly, DD did clean her room pretty well yesterday--for her. This means the floor was clean, and she didn't just dump everything on her bed. Her dresser is very messy, but still, I think there was progress. So I guess the kids are just taking turns.
