I hope Amsmom and all our new Florida members of this board are ok. If you don't hear from any of us for a few days, you'll know why. (It's forecast to come ashore here in NW FL tomorrow.)

Skay, I just posted to you on the thread I started with your name in it. hehe Yep, Dennis is reaking havoc in southern Florida already. There was a tornado that toched down there already. Hope you are doing alright Amsmom. We are getting hammered with t-storms as I type. Don't know if it's outerbands or just from the heat from today.

Skay, as I always say.... if the worse comes and you need a place to rest your head a few days, my home is open. We'll be praying for you.

we are fine, thank you all!!! the tornado warnings and sightings were a little scary, but hopefully that will end soon.
skay, you are the one i am worried about. that stupid hurricane seems to be going right your way. after all you went through last yr. that is just not fair. >:(

i know you know what to do when a hurricane comes, so just be safe and know that it will pass. i'm thinking of you a lot and sending you lots of good wishes and thoughts.

I'm so glad to hear you're ok.

It looks like we will be leaving the house tomorrow morning to stay with some friends here in town--more for the company than anything. I'm not sure how much more I'll be on here since we need to get things ready. :-X

Amsom, Glad to hear y'all are ok!

Seems the eastern side of these things is the worst side to be on and you were. >:(

Unfortunately we will be too.... and Skay. From what I see it looks like it'll hit Mobile dead on and Skay is just to the east of Mobile... not far at all. Oh I hope she is doing right by staying and "roughing it out". I know y'all have been through this many times so I trust y'all also know best. It just scares me because I've seen first hand how much damage these things cause when they get this far inland.... I can't imagine being there to experience it when it first hits.

In 95, Opal brought much destruction to Columbus and the hurricanes of last year brought much to the near west of us in neighboring Alabama. All storms we were east of, so we are a little nervous about being east of Dennis. Our weatherman predicted wind of 50 mph here by tomorrow afternoon and we are really on the far side of where they are expecting it to be when it gets this far in. Man, my heart goes out to all that will be near the eye! Geez!!! And this is only July! >:(

As Linda said, stay safe my Florida friends, but let me add my Alabama friends as well!! Tomorrow will be a rough day for them all!
