Only one of my gang of thugs is a leftie (I don't count the 2-year-old) and it isn't Challenge Boy. But my left-hander wrote completely reversed until close to the end of 2nd grade. He'd copy what he saw the teacher do at the board, and as a result, he wrote from right to left with the letters backwards. His teacher was one of the REALLY REALLY good ones. Anyway, she told me not to worry about it, that he would mature out of it before the end of 2nd grade, and that's exactly what happened. He still has the most truly AWFUL penmanship, but it all goes in the right direction without reversals.
