Spring Break here. Most of the week has been uneventful until today.
Paul has decided this must be his day to harass his little brother(7) I was wracking my brain to come up with comebacks, but Jacob was holding his own.
Paul to Jacob: Who gave you permission to be ugly?
Jacob to Paul: Wellllll....we are brothers!!!
on and on and on....time to redirect!!!

good try Marja! A comforter is a really thick bedspread for the top of the bed. They are nice and warm and snuggly. Sue

Bedspreads are thinner and hang to the floor. Comforters are really thick and puffy and pretty much just fit the top of the bed. We should have Ralph put a picture of one here.

Oh Jorgy .. this is too funny!! The difference in our languages (and yet they are MEANT to be the same language! ;D)
A duvet is a 'complete' bed cover ... often made out of feathers - it takes the place of blankets etc. and its warmth is measured in "togs" .... and is very cuddly ... You cover it with a "duvet cover" which is normally a cotton cover ...
(and when you have a duvet that is ALL you need for sleeping under?)
Now ... am I describing a "comforter?" ;D
