Below the chat icon on the home page, I have added a guestmap. This way everyone can stick a pin in at their location and we can see how far spread our members are. When you click the icon, a map will appear with a splash screen telling you how to use it. Click "Hide Welcome Message" to show the map. It's fun and I am the dot in Virginia, if you place your cursor on it it will tell you who each pin belongs to.

A few things I have noticed about guestmap:
You can't edit your comments. You can remove your pin.
If anyone would like this done. IM me and I can make the changes for you.
Also, some concerns about putting in your email address, if you think you may get spam from it, you don't have to post it in the guestmap.
Thanks,

Love the map, Dad2Brooke! Ohmama, I got an entire branch of in-laws, there in Medford. What a small world. And Marja, I feel like I know some of the people on this board better than I do about the majority of my neighbors. This is my international neighborhood, of which you are a part. And I'm very glad for it.

Susan the mom, That's amazing, Medford is such a small town! Have you ever been here?
I lived and grew up in Elk Grove Village, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago) where one of our members (Chicagoredwing) lives now. It really is a small world.

Not yet, but my husband's expericence there has left a lasting impression on him. He swears it's one of the most beautiful places he's seen. We get pictures and correspondence from them every year, but it's just such a long haul for four little ones that we haven't made the trip yet. Wonderfully sweet family there though. BTW, my husband tells me that there is a statue somewhere in that town of a distant relative of his, a great (great ?) granfather I believe. I'll have to ask the name when he gets home, since I haven't seen it myself. Oh, I can't wait to visit there. Someday...someday....someday I'll get to visit lots of far off places, right?

When you are looking at the guestmap, look in the upper left and you will see a button that has a push pin and the word "Post" in it.
Click that and it will give you a "Click a location on the map to add your entry" box, click "OK" on the box and now your mouse cursor should be a little hand holding a push pin.
Move the cursor to the spot on the map that you want and click the mouse. Then fill out the box that pops up and click submit at the bottom of the box.
Let me know if you need any more help.
