Yes, let us pray for all those brave Americans and their allies who are defending our freedom. May they all come home safely. My grandfather died for Canada in WW1 and my father served in WW2, and so far, Canada is helping in Afghanistan. But it is ALL important, despite its controversy. In Canada, at election time, about all we get to debate is how we want to spend our health dollars.

---lets not forget how many private callers or unavaliable calls I get a day from both election camps. I believe there are only 5 days left until election day--yahoo ;D. I sit here all day long TRYING to teach Patrick. The phone rings constantly, such a distraction. I now PICK it up, and say, "I am deliberately hanging up on your message. Please don't take it personally." And then I hang up without even listening to their reply. If I turn the ringer off, I miss the important calls, and if I wait for the machine to kick on, it just takes more time. I know these people are doing what they believe in, but my phone is here for MY convenience, not theirs. (OMG... would you believe the phone just rang as I was typing this!!!)

(OMG... would you believe the phone just rang as I was typing this!!!) Yeah, actually I would! Before we had caller I.D. and the Do Not Call lists, we would use our answering machine to scrren calls. At one time I got so completely fed up with the CONSTANT phone solicitar calls I changed our answering machine message to this: Hello! You have reached the home of people who absolutely despise phone solicitars. So, if you are one, I'd advise you to hang up now and not call here again. Whatever you're trying to sell, I'll buy on my own if I decide I want it. If you are calling to persuade me to vote on something in your favor, don't bother. I have a mind of my own and will make it up on my own. Now, if you are a friend or a family member then feel free to leave a message and we will call you back. Have a nice day!

Christy, I love your message!
I just haven't had the TIME to change mine. I think I will do just that!
And here it is almost 10 a.m. and I haven't had ONE SINGLE call yet today. That doesnt' bode well for the rest of the day. They will be trying to make up for lost time!
HAVE FUN WITH EOM! Laurie

I tell you what, it sure was funny to hear how quickly people would hang up when they heard that! By the way, EOM is done, thank goodness.

That's funny, but what does EOM mean? Anyhow, I had an ipifany--is that how it's spelled As I was just listening to an ad on the radio of one canadate being trashed, it seems to me that these people are worse than our kids. You know the scenerio: MOM MIKEY HIT ME. Leaving out the little bit about her hitting him first. WELL SHE HIT ME TOO. Leaving out the little bit about him not getting out of her room after she asked him 20 times. jEEZ, THEY ARE WORSE THAN KIDS

Epiphany.
The people who should be in politics are too busy doing stuff. The people who want to be in politics are too busy campaigning to do stuff.

Epiphany. The people who should be in politics are too busy doing stuff. The people who want to be in politics are too busy campaigning to do stuff. My DH says he is a member of the INTELLIGENT PARTY. Only problem is they can't get any one to run for election! It is pretty poetic, and very true!
