I've about had it!

This Monday will be three weeks since my appt at the psychiatrists office. Right before I left, she (the LCSW) told me she needed to call DD school (both last year and this year). She also said she needed to talk to the psychiatrist to decide where to go from here. Since the school is paying for the first three appts we want to get the most out of them. She did say she would see DD again to discuss behavior problems and social skills, but she was supposed to call me to set up the appt.

Shouldn't I have received a call by now!? I think three weeks is long enough. Should I give them another week or do I call Monday morning and try to find out what is going on?

Also, ex husband and father, was supposed to call his insurance to get pre approval. He hasn't mentioned anything about it as of today. Do I ask him about it? If I do, when should I ask? Sunday when he brings them home? Call him and ask? I don't think he wants her dx so I don't know if he has called or not. I'm pretty sure the insurance company won't give me pre approval cause the insurance is under his name.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

You call her first thing Monday morning. Stay on her and don't let them blow you off. Your gonna have to get some back bone here and bug them until you get what you want.
As for the insurance see if the psych. office will call for prior apprpval. We do it all the time in the office I work in for referrals and meds. Talk with your family doctor if the psych office will not call for prior approval.
Don't give up, keep pushing!!!!

Call them in morning, and make the dr office do the preapproval call... Let us know how it goes, and good luck!!
