Paul, I'm really glad you have a great sense of humor and can take our teasing! "Unfortunately" we are leaving for vacation on Saturday and I know we will be just too busy to "talk" here on Friday. What a shame; it will just have to wait. Oh, the stories my DH could tell!

Paul, I see that you're from central Illinois. I grew up in Champaign. Kaiti, you could probably get a key chain before I even get there. We're going to eastern PA.

YUP, philly is about 45 minutes away, but then there's rush hour, so you might beat me by the time I figured out where I was going.

Skay- Wow, somebody else from Ill. I'm from Nokomis (1 hr. south of Springfield and Decatur) My brother was program directer for the radio station W B G L in Champaign. There are many, many Illini fans here. (Not much into sports, myself)
Paul
P.s. - (Small world)- I have a brother in Pennsylvania (Pittsburg)

I went to Pittsburg a couple of years ago, I love that city, it's so clean, I couldn't imagine Philly being that clean.
Hey Paul, have you ever been to the Ruddy Duck? It's in on the of Hotels? I had to wait there for my husband to get back from a playoff game with the kids and I couldn't believe how many people went there after the game....it was a mob scene
and talking about a small world, the Host told us his mom was living in Sea Isle City, about an hour away from our house ;D

Kaiti- Never been to the Ruddy Duck. But we did walk around town , saw 3 rivers stadium, enjoyed live music, rode the train that goes up and down the hill, played frisbee and kicked a ball around in a park situated where the rivers meet. It is a neat city and my brothers family loves it there.

Ramada Inn, finally remembered ;D It's in the main floor of the Ramada, it's a sports bar that apparently everyone would go to after Penguin games and stuff. I mainly stayed down town. The convention was based out of the convention center and the Double Tree Hotel. Talk about fancy jeez, I felt like a really big hick then ;D It's funny because my husband asked one of the bell hops if he knew if htere were tickets left to the playoff game. The guy made a phone call, tells my husband to go to this place to the 4th floor. He does that, kids in tow, and Apparently he was sent to the Penguins main Headquarters The kids got lunch boxes and those towels and all kinds of stuff. Plus he only paid $86 for 2 tickets as Mikey was only a year or so old, he was free. It's an awsome city that we hope to get back to soon so we can actually see the rest of the city.

Would you believe that 25-30 yrs. ago Pittsburgh was the filthiest city in the country? Remember the commercial way back then of the American Indian in the canoe on the river with the tear running down his face because of the pollution? That was Pittsburgh on the Ohio River. It is unbelievable how they cleaned up the city and the rivers.
I love the PPG building. We call it the Glass Castle. I hated the Incline, it is just too darn steep for me to enjoy it!

PPG Building : AKA Scolex (sp?) in the Inspector Gadget movie!
Did any body else see the documentory on t.v. about the demolition of three rivers stadium.(Gotta love it when stuff gets blown up) They shut down traffic on all three rivers when they did it.

Kaiti, I was hoping to meet you and Laurie but we just don't know our schedule. We'll be visiting DH's grandmother near Philly sometime but don't know when. I'll have to be sure to go to a Wal-Mart to watch for you! ;D
Doubt if I'll have time to get on here tomorrow; so I'll talk to you guys when I get back!

Have fun Skay!!!!!!! Stay safe!!!! I'll see what I can do about a Walmart trip. Things are tight w/me not working as much, so I haven't been to Walmart for almost 2 weeks We saw 3 Rivers on replay-still cried We saw Vets Stadium Live and BAWLED :'(I was in a field show when I was in 10th grade. The Phillies were playing the Cardinals and We got to do the Star Spangled Banner if I remember right. Then as we all walked off the field, we jumped on Second Base, just to say we did. We were going to steal Second, but Figured it was before the game, so It would be noticed ;D

Skay- Will your parents be in Decatur next weekend? My wife and I are taking our food wagon to Decatur for the big 'Decatur Fest'.We will be the small trailer selling NACHOS. If they show up , not only will we say 'hi' but we'll treat them, free. They would have to identify themselves as Skay's parents, though in order for me to recognize them.
