I'm just wondering.
I was taught to mean what you say and say what you mean.....this has come as a problem for me as i take people at thier word.
Does this happen to just me or am I naive?

As I was thinking of the poll, I was actually really POed because I waited up for Mike last night, since he SAID he would be right home after work......well, he would have been home sooner, but at least he had a good excuse..........I will forgive him this time ;D ;D

I think we have to learn the difference between what should be , could be, and will be accomplished by word....husbands should always be forced to keep their word (just my own little kingdoms rule)...but there are always those little circumstances that as women we are given the divine power to forgive. If I was ever on time coming home ...Bobo would definitely have a stroke.

I voted not all the time´s, because I know that´s the reality I was thought to keep my word too, and I usually do(at least try to) but I realize not all people do this and try to live by that realism..... I´ve heard that finnish people are quit famous of doing as they say, keeping their timetable´s and promise and quite often also wait other´s to do that too... and get disappointed but I´ll still keep my word when ever I can So you can trust me

Alla, i know... and we are, as far as I know, the only country in the hole world that has payd the war-payment´s for Russia, as judged after WWII too... But that turned out good for us, it made huge improvement to our industry and thecnology

I myself am quite honest so I try to keep my word, but I don't trust other people very much. I think people should do their best to keep their word, but there are just some who don't do it, and then there are times when circumstances hinder those who normally keep their word.

I try to do my best to keep my word... but let's face it, us ADHD folks have the best intentions even though we miss the follow through sometimes...
I thought Kaiti posted this poll because I said I would call her and I haven't yet... I am going to admit my darkest secret now... I get panic attacks when I have to pick up the phone and call someone... what if they aren't home and I have to leave a message, what if it isn't a good time to chat, what if I am interrupting a family quarrel, what if the line is busy, what if I dial the wrong #, what if they don't want to be bothered talking to me... my heart pounds and races, and I break into a cold sweat...
It is absolutely awful. If she wants me to talk, she can call me and hang up after 3 rings and my caller ID will tell me exactly who called me at what time. If I am home I can call right back, if not, she'll have to try again because I get so freaked out the longer I think about having to make that return call.

Trid....I know all about panic attacks....I used to have them but thank goodness ...no more!!! It is understandable though that Kaiti might be the cause of P.A. ;D ;D ;D
I wonder how long it will take Kaiti to see this post ;D ;D ;D

I thought I was the only one who doesn't like to call people until I found out a friend at work is the same way. And now Trid. I'm always afraid of calling at a bad time. I have a good friend who is fighting cancer--going through chemo--and don't talk to her as often as I think I should because I'm afraid of bothering her when she isn't feeling well. I guess I'm a little off-topic here, aren't I?

I do expect people to keep their word~~I know that other things can happen but most of the time I am on a schedule and if someone puts me behind I am behind for the day (and I have enough problems being on time by myself ;D ;D ;D). Especially since I am a coach I have to depend on parents when they give me their word about certain things. I can get a little irate when a plan don't come thru......
