The domain name is the part that comes after the @ in your email address. So probably not the same.

Allanque is right. You have to buy a domain name. You can buy one from Dotster; if you're really interested, email me and I'll send you the specifics.

Rosy, I have comcast too. I have 6 accounts. The master we don't give out to anyone, it is just the main account. That way if another gets corrupted by spammers, we can reset without losing the master. DH has his, I have mine, I have one for the PTA that I run, and each of the boys has there own. What we did with the kids, is put them into our Outlook Express program, so every time I check the e-mail, they all get checked. I can read the mail, mark it as unread, and then call the right boy to come see his mail from so-and-so. My 13 yr. old ODD son hasn't objected yet. When he goes to summer camp for the Boy Scouts, I make up business cards for him to hand out. He knows that the info. I put on the card is all he is allowed to give out right now.
When my just turned 9 yr. old picked his name, we e-mailed his zillion aunts, uncles, and cousins with his addy. So far, he only gets the occasional mail from his family. Not a single spam with comcast in over year for any of our accounts. The controls for comcast seem to be very effective. Each of the accounts has individual controls, so we can allow my password to be changed by me, but the boys have to be changed through the master account. I had a really tough time finding the family accounts on Yahoo. I spent several hours on it before I gave up completely on them. I hope this helps.

And one more thing, I put a general header on most of my mail:
If this is a forwarded mail, you will notice that I cut and paste to remove all prior addresses. This is to prevent addresses being forwarded to folks unknown to them. I kindly ask that if you chose to forward this as well, that you will consider my privacy and use the copy and paste method as well. This will allow all of us to enjoy spam free mailboxes for a much longer time! Thank you for taking the time to help me. Rest assured this will be my ongoing policy!
