OhMama, I am using a brand called Pure Encapsulation. It was recommended to me by the natural pharmacist who was working with us a couple of years back when we were trying diet and supplements only. I kept on using it and haven't changed, eventhough it expensive. I order it from the internet. Here's the address, if you like to check it out: www.bayho.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=826180. I ordered the fish oil from Bayho. It's cheaper than ordering it from the natural pharmacist. The vitamin E that my DS takes is a brand called Natural Factors. The Evening Primrose is also from Pure Encapsulations. If you have any suggestions as to another good brand of Omega 3s, Vitamin E or Evening Primrose, that has work for you and is cheaper, please let me know. Also, you had asked how many tablets of Omega 3 that I am giving my DS. I give him 1 tablet EPA/DHA, 1 Vitamin E (200 IU) in the morning before breakfast and 1 tablet EPA/DHA, 1 Vitamin E (200 IU) and 1 EVening Primrose oil in the evening after dinner. That seems to work. Although last night I gave him 2 EPA/DHA tablets and he complained at night of a little tummy ache. Maybe it was to much. I probably will just keeping giving him 1 tablet EPA/DHA at night, along with the other supplements I mentioned. I can't thank you all who replied to my post. I am so happy and so is my DS. Take care and God Bless you all. Smiles, Gina

Gina, That sounds like a good product. It would seem to be pharmaceutical grade but doesn't say so. Maybe on the label? I'm using Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega Liquid right now. For 1/2 teaspoon you get 875mg EPA/625mg DHA ($29.96 for 4oz gives you 48 servings). It is pharmaceutical grade and molecularly distilled so it doesn't get any better in quality than that. It is available at the House of Nutrition. Orders over $150 have free shipping. I just found this website thanks to another poster (dfp). They have all the major brands at better prices. shop.store.yahoo.com/hono/index.html Hey, I just noticed this is the same website Cat posted! A good quality product that would be comparable to what you use is called RxOmega-3 by Natural Factors 400mg EPA/200mg DHA it is pharmaceutical grade also. 120 softgels for $13 to $15 depending on how many you purchase at a time. Free shipping on orders over $60 and additional discounts available. This is available at iherb.comAs you can see I use the higher EPA/DHA (875mg EPA/625mg DHA). I give a full teaspoon so the amount is double and give this 3 times a day = just over 5 grams. We are dealing with a serious mood disorder and I find the lesser amount just doesn't do it. This has been very helpful with behavior issues.
