I just checked out her web site (thanks for the link). Very interesting stuff. I like her, if she wasn't so dang far away I'd take my DS to see her. Have you gone to see her? It looks like she does phone counseling, wonder how much that costs. Think insurance might cover it???

I haven't used her services yet. I'm still reasearching her. I did the same post in the "The Doctor Office" and have received one negative reply. The cost for the first phone conversation, which last about an hour, is $160 according to them and then after that $60 per call. The test are extra. I believe they said the salvia test is about $195 and the urine test about $125. We live in the Midwest, so we can do an office visit. I'm still not sure if we will contact her for an official visit yet. We are alreadying to a FG diet and have my DS on vitamins and supplements. But, we still aren't happy with the results at this point. Been on FG since 10/03 and vitamins for the past 4 to 6 weeks or so.

Hey I'm from the Midwest too, I live in Wisconsin. I'm on the same track as you, we started the FG diet about 3 weeks ago, and I've started him on some supplements. I'm waiting for the rest to come in the mail - herbaladvisor has good prices but they sure are slow about shipping an order!
Well there are still other options to try, there's STNR therapy, biofeedback, meditation, hypnosis. I'm going to try them all if necessary ;D.

you should really give FG a good test first without adding vitamins and supplements. we did stage 1 for about 4 months before adding vitamins and supplements. we are now testing out stage 2 foods. my advise, do just FG for 6 to 8 weeks and see if you get the results you are hoping and praying for.
our next step might be going to the Pfeiffer Treatment Center in Warrensville, IL, just north of Naperville. i'm still trying to do research on them at this time.

John, There are several people on this forum who've used the Pfeiffer Treatment Center. You might want to post a question about it to get their input.
My gut reaction is, given a choice between Pfeiffer and Thompson -- head for Pfeiffer. While I certainly like her nutritional orientation, from looking at her material, I really don't think Thompson uses extensive enough testing before developing a treatment program. Saliva has limited applications. Hair analysis is notoriously inaccurate due to potential environmental contamination. Urine evaluates only "spill" levels. I personally would want more than that. I don't think I'd want to spend $160 on a consultation that doesn't include having my child physically present! I can read medical journals for free and do that well on my own.
lllex, if you look at the growing literature on biofeedback, it really seems to hold a lot of promise. I believe that will be something we try in the near future.
