What happens if I suddenly stop taking supplements and such? I know, probably nothing major bad, but yeah. I'm broke and my supplies aren't going to last me until my next paycheck.
I'm taking magnesium, fish oil capsules, and vitamin E, as well as a regular multivitamin.

Allanque - Just as it takes a while to accumulate enough of a vitamin in your body to make a difference, likewise it takes a while for levels to decrease again after you stop taking it. If you're talking about stopping your supplements for a week or so, you'll probably suffer some constipation since both the magnesium and the fish oil have a laxative effect. You shouldn't suffer anything worse than that. However, if your multi contains B vitamins and you are sensitive to them, you may notice that discontinuing the B makes you somewhat moody or more emotional volatile than usual.
College kids and money problems...ah...brings back memories. I was so broke in college. I pretty much had to give up eating some months, so I'd make a bigitof rice and beans and that's all I'd have to eat for the last week or so until the $$$ came in. It's been 20 years since I graduated college, and I have NEVER AGAIN eaten rice and beans. Never will.

*ponders*
I have CDs I've been meaning to take to Hastings and get money for. Those should definitely get me enough money to get the magnesium and vit E. I think I have enough of the multi to last until payday. I need to see how much the fish oil capsules actually cost.
*blinks* I'm amazed. I still have a whole $4.99 in my checking account after the last check I wrote clears. I think I better leave that in there though, just in case. I don't need any more bounced checks.

What about text books you aren't using any more? The used book store by the campus here buys them back at a significant discount, but even a significant discount on a $60 book amounts to a decent bit of emergency money.

*smacks her forehead*
I need to go ask the girl who was going to buy some of mine off me if she still wants to.
Cash is good.
*adds that to her list of things to do tomorrow*
