i am convinced it is a simple adjustment to the medication changes. simple-did i say that, simple my foot. anyway thanks for the ideas. i feel like a routine queen and we try to hard ont he snacks etc. part of it the lack of aooetiate on the one med (adderall), then it wears off he makes up for lost food, which is good, he needs that. last day all 4 of us inthe house slept all through the night, in our beds and all woke up on our own in good moods. i think we are on the way to new and better days. thanks again for listening.

six days later, still night wakes, spoke with the dr and her solution is that he just may be at a point where he requires less sleep. she suggest pushing bed time back. i understand that totaly, but i am feeling very guilty and self fish for thinking i am already exhausted and wore out when i do put them to bed, how can i make it any longer.

I can sure sympathize with you on the not sleeping issue. My DD never has slept well. She was 2 or 3 before we even got close to her sleeping through the night - in any real since of the word. I think I was constantly exhausted until she was 7 or 8. She is 11 now and still doesn't sleep much but she doesn't get into anything or make messes. I hope maybe the doctor can help but if not it does get better as they get older. Hang in there!

well, ladies, it is close to 4 weeks that we have changed meds. i still don't have this figured out. in these 4 weeks and i think he has slept through the night maybe 3 times. i have pushed the bed time back (now it is 1 1/2 hours later than when he was ritalin, now is on adderall) he eats a good supper and a couple of bed time snacks. at least now he is more managable when he wakes, the baby monitor is till my alert system. most of the time he will come in a wake me up, he leaves the dog alone and his sister. he hair is growing back and he knows even in the day time he is not allowed the scissors with out permission. maybe i am self fish, but i just loved those 3 nights that i slept all night long myself.
