K so dr. finally called me and told me to up the dose to 1 1/2 pills....so we will see how that goes! hope better than it is now!

alright tried 7 1/2mg for 2 days no different so went to 10 mg! little difference....this behavior dr. said we should probably be on something else but his pedi said stay on methylin for at least 2 weeks and that it wont change anything about him just so he is not so impulsive.... OK well i still think he is impulsive...maybe i dont know what exactly impulsive is...can someone explain it to me.....she pretty much said we need to focus more on disciplining him! OK..how can i displine him when he wont listen to me, he throws things at me, calls me names, if in his room, tears it apart, hits me and whomever is around! UUUHHH! so had to vent! TIA  |

I don't know...I have to admit I am a little puzzled...either the ritalin is not enough for him or he DOES need to be on something else.  |

tracy, imho and experience, you have given it enough time! your ds may be like my ds---his behavior got much worse on stims. i think the behavior dr knows more about the meds than the pediatrician. can the behavior dr (who i'm guessing is a psychologist and cant prescribe meds) recommend a child psychiatrist or neurologist to do the med eval for your ds?
